With 20 years of professional experience he is trainer and consultant and has conducted numerous assignment with government and private sector organizations.
Trained in entrepreneurship at prestigious institutions in India and abroad namely: CIIE - Indian Institute of Management (Ahemdabad); Groningen University, The Netherlands; University of Twente, The Netherlands; ISB Hyderabad, etc.
Dr. Ghuman’s books titled "Rural Marketing" (2007) and "Management: Concept, Practice and Cases" (2010), have been published by McGraw-Hill. He has edited a book titled Indian Management, which has been published by Bloomsbury India. The Book on Effective Mentoring published by Ane Books.
He was Professor and Campus Director at Satyug Darshan Technical Campus, Faridabad for one year and was Professor and Director at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Gharuan Campus, Mohali from Jan 2010 to June 2012. He was Deputy Director and Professor of Management at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Mohali, where he worked from Aug 1999 to Dec 2009. He was Lecturer at Regional Institute of Management & Administration, Chandigarh from August 1998 to July 1999. He has been Visiting Faculty at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (Govt. of Punjab), Chandigarh and PTU’s Nalanda School of TQM & Entrepreneurship, Mohali. The foreign assignment as a Trainer and Consultant with Ministry of Tourism, State of Eritrea (North East Africa) has provided him with a cross-cultural experience.
Dr. Ghuman is member Board of Studies of LM Thapar School of Management and was member Board of Studies for Punjab Technical University. He was PGP Chair, LM Thapar School of Management from May, 2014 to February 2015. Former Member, CII’s Subcommittee on Technical Education and has been invited as expert by Technical Teachers’ Training Institute. He developed Diagnostic Study Report for establishing sanitary fittings cluster. He is recipient of Best Teacher Award by Lions Club, Mohali on Teachers Day, 2002 and by Rotary International, Mohali on Teachers Day, 2003.
